Stop trying to be a hero
You can’t even save yourself.

Maybe somewhere you’ve learned more than I,
Perhaps with age there does come wisdom.
Then again, maybe it’s just abuse of freedom.

Stop trying to fix the broken,
You’re more broken than us all.

Damaged, cracked, and bruised don’t even describe the surface.
You’re heavy bleeding heart beats stronger than most,
But I’ve seen the truth there’s nothing to boast.

Stop trying to be the good one,
You’re no better than me.

Words are all you have left to offer, all you’ve ever had
Without action your words are dead.
Sleep tonight all the lies within your head.
