Forensic Vision
Information and Forensic Profiling Service.
A number of National helplines are in existence.
From my professional experience helplines are overwhelmed with calls and as a professional I have experienced first-hand answering machines and engaged lines for hours.
Some helplines only open at certain times.
The weekends are worse in terms of helpline availability. A Lot of the advice lines rely on Volunteers to do the best with the resources they have available.
So I decided to devise and create the Forensic Vision Information and Profiling Service. This service will offer independent information to members of the Public, as well as Non - Statutory Services, Charities, and Voluntary Sector Services. We will work with and advise Statutory Services for the holistic benefits of the Victims and aiding a holistic process of Profiling Offenders (Study of Patients Convicted in Courts Wallace et al 1998). Forensic Vision will also highlight the need for interventions to reduce the risk of re-offending. We will listen to the service user in a non-judgemental, non- bias, impartial and non-discriminatory way.
Disclosure: Forensic Vision will never share your personal information and data with any third parties without consent from the service user. The only occasion that this will take place is as follows: The service follows good practice in relation to Safeguarding and any immediate Safeguarding concerns for the welfare or safety of any child or adult will be reported through Safeguarding Procedures.
Anyone can find themselves a victim of an offender, it doesn't matter who you are. Sometimes people have no connection to the offender and other times the victim knows the offender.
Examples of types of forensic offending:
Stalking victims tend to contact the police very late in the stalking abuse process, domestic abuse, violent behaviour, offenders with personality disorders that can be hard to recognise, psychopathic offenders and, ****** offenders all of these offenders display personaility attributes and characteristics related to the offending. Unless trained in Forensic Science and Profiling, or a related profession, victims will often not relate a connection to the reality that this offender's behaviour is really happening and how serious the situation is e.g. stalking.
This can be for a number of reasons fearing the repercussions if they let anyone know what is taking place, experiencing rushed professionals that are not trained or don't have the time and, present with being non-empathetic
Victims can sometimes feel they are wasting other people's time e.g. family members that play down the seriousness of the victims description of what is taking place.
Many victims don't feel confident in contacting the Police. If you feel you are at risk immediately or you are concerned about the risk of another person or child who is in immediate danger call 999.
Details of the Forensic Vision Contact Number and Email Address will follow in the near future. Any information needed prior to this please use:
