one day a child / motherhood

One day a child will cling to me pressed against my heart I hope. With hands of warmth surrounding him, the one who will save my soul. To be everything a child Looks up to In moments of joy and despair, With tears and laughter too. Is all that I can hope for today For what else should I look forward to? One day these hands will hold a child Tucked softly and safely within To cherish and enjoy and nurture them Knowing true love lives herein.
