Cruel like fire but cold like ice,
your love burnt and froze
the memory of us.

Fire rose amongst the ruins of
my heart, the ashes scattered
across the land as winter came
bringing snow and your cold embrace.

Tightly you choked me,
your cold hands gripping
my heart like the monster
you are.

Heartless and cruel
you tried to drag me under
with you but I rose above the
ruins, I am rebirthed from the
ashes of my heart.
