little sister
when you are over the diva-fest
your fifteenth year has rung in
i will listen to you
until then
i will not believe a single word you say
you lie as easily as you smile
and that is the worst part
you are a poet who farms sympathy
from unsuspecting victims
who know nothing
of the situation
little sister
you are turning my stomach
your poetry makes me sick
lie to my face
instead of about me in a poem

you don't have the *****
