I saw a star and made a wish,
The prized star that I saw was you:
I was overwhelmed by your heart,
Heavenly stars I'm not drawn to.

Heavenly stars can be helpful,
In navigating the night skies,
But my heart has no place for them,
You are the star of which I prize.

Yes, you are the star I wished on,
Earthly wealth was not my request:
I wished that you would care for me,
And that you would be my heart's guest.

I saw you star and made a wish,
God's will you'd help me accomplish.
