What greater gift
Does one need
Than a best friend
Sharing happiness and grief

This goes beyond sharing
In joy and sorrow they are one
Have always been that way
Their souls would have been painted by Monet

Never alone or lonely
With a friend always nearby
They don't live in our world
They created their own and made us envious

Don't need anyone else
Sufficient with themselves
Everyone would want to be included
Friendship so deep rooted
They don't require anybody else
