Truth lies at the heart of lies
just as fear does for courage.
Take me back,
back to days of darkness
Unending bliss that is shattered only by knowledge

We seek knowledge as hunger seeks satiation
We attempt to open our eyes to truths we hope are there. They aren't.
They're shrouded in bleak cumulus that will never fade,
but appear toΒ tell us to quit.
To return to our past
I don't want to learn
Don't want to know
to feel
to fear
to lie

I wish I didn't know now,
What I didn't know then.
But I do,
and it's killing me
