What do you call a fire
when it no longer burns
Is it still a fire or just
another charred emotion
Like a sky without stars,
A room lacking air
Words sink into the blank slate
to fill and to dissolve into nothing
This moment will fade
lost into the void
You and I will be a distant memory
tossed in an endless time
But the fire still burns
blazing to the sky
humming in silence
Will you be mine?
