Valentine's in place,
of the pagan festival taking place
The feast of St Valentine,
in memory of a Martyred Saint
Emperor Claudius II
beheaded St Valentine,
as he would perform,
marriages for young lovers,
in a secret time
Inauspicious date,
14th February 271 AD
Then a letter to Juila signed,
from your Valentine,
be mine
Lupercalia,
celebrated between 13 - 15 Feb
Dedicated agriculture,
and, denoted to the start of Spring,
where welcoming fertility,
was the human sing
