Feb 2022
like an egg
cracked me
on the side of my head
beat me up
till I was thinly spread
threw tomatoes at me
till I was scarlet
But I became a juicy omelet

He broke me
like a shell
on the beach
I was crushed
beneath his feet
he does that to every girl
But I rolled out as a shiny pearl

He broke me
like a branch
off a tree
I splintered underneath
the fallen leaves
But a robin with redbreast
saw Iā€™d be fitting
for her nest
So, I returned to
where I came ā€“
But not the same
