I understand the rain
Its tears to ease its pain
In the form of droplets from the sky
When the clouds begin to cry
But with the sun brings hope
A vibrant glowing star
To warm and dry, those crying eyes
That make you who you are
I understand the rain
Too drab to entertain
And too lackluster of an appearance
To ever make a name
But it’s recognized on sight
Which contradicts my plight
To answer every call
When the rain begins to fall
