Anyway to skip a day
A week without a Sunday
The Beatles wanted one more
Wish it were one less

Every second seems an hour
Lockdown  bring the pressure
Mind racing with thoughts
Day still looks like a time warp

Within the 4 walls
Outside patrolling squads
Most welcome day of the week
Not a soul on the street

Alone with the phone
Keep the mind in sanity zone
Government taking precautions
No change in the outcome of the situation

Social duty for all
To be in solitary
Way to stop the spread
Of the virus we dread

Downside declared as death
A fact not a matter of faith
Carrier a title in the chain
Most avoidable terrain

Never ending affair
Causing universal despair
Blame game fair and square
A cross all have to bear

Infected pays the price
Reason let the conscience decide
Guilt of spreading begets Malice
Mindless  conduct rendering breathless
