You take pills to feel better
They never seem to suffice
A temporary escape from your mind
Sure would be nice

But you're in a place where there is nowhere for you to run
Man, disappearing sure sounds like fun

What do you do when your world never seems to stop?
One moment your manic and feel like you're at the top

Somewhere along the way your world starts to diminish
You feel if your tumbling this hard
You might as well land with a big finish

So you do something you know one day you'll regret
Who cares?
You haven't got the energy to fret

You get release and finally feel free
And that's all that seems to matter
Until the day you realize you've given away your dignity
On a sliver platter
