Why do we explore,
All dark, pothole-riddled streets,
Not bright open roads?

Why do we stumble,
On the same obvious rock,
Time and time again?

Why is it we vote,
For mendacious fools each year,
Hoping for a change?

Are we that obtuse?
Do we thrive with pain, failure?
Or are we insane?
