Backseat Driver
I always wondered what love really was;
If it was a kiss goodbye before a long journey,
your favorite hand to hold,
coming home to hot tea,
or watching someone grow old.
But sometimes I stop wondering
and remember how it is to feel.
Maybe love is a seatbelt I was reminded to wear,
That kept me from being thrown out over my steering wheel.
