Entrenched within the battlefield
The house they call a home
There’s misery and anguish
Often left alone
Witness to the rage
The hurt to all it’s causing
The victims and the pain
Behavior that’s appalling
We close our eyes
And pray for help
But all we get
Is the whipping belt
