I grow naturally suspicious
When you sleepwalk past my heart
It’s my only inclination
That we’re growing far apart
Could be I’m just paranoid
To lose you to your dreams
I hope my inclination to your destination
Isn’t what it seems
You journey towards the window at night
A window I locked tight
So you don’t open up the latch
Attempting to take flight
Is this your subconsciouses doing
Should I be terrified to sleep
For fear of losing you to you
Am I protector of the weak
Are you a vessel for your demons
Are you at their beckoned call
Do they lift you up by angels wings
Just to watch you fall
I am not a savior
Barely a protector of myself
But I’ll battle with you until the end
If that’s any sort of help
I’ll brandish out my sword
I will wield my shield
I’ll listen to every single word
Until all has been revealed
Until all the evils gone
No more optical illusions
But the will to carry on
