I bent down to reflect
upon the gaping hole you
left.

The chasm is deep and dark,
it devoured your memory
with its monstrous tentacles.

I am no longer your victim,
for I declare victory over my
heart.

I fell the chasm of my wounds
with poetry and my endless prose
hold together the gaps you created.

I stitched together the wounds.

Love, you stole the joy and
mystery from the journey
we started years ago.

You left me with pain and
deep bruises upon my heart.
