She took hold of me
She was bleeding
I saw her get cold
Yet she still caught hold of me

She tried to keep me warm
Even as she turned lifeless
You will be okay
I could only watch the smile

I never intended not to protect her
She took the blame for me
Now I got to be strong for her
Too much weight on me

She just watches over me
Every night she kisses me
Every night I watch her little fire
Rekindle my insides
