Sleepless in Chicago
I wish I were a glass ashtray
In some abandoned
Cheap hotel room.
I wish you still loved me.
I wish you'd never kissed her
I wish to never have met you
I wish to forget you.
Sleepless in Chicago, again
Wishing I weren't.
you could have been
dreaming strange dreams
with me
you could have prevented
this ridicule of a wasted, wishing heart
you've torn me apart for the last time
you're no longer the rest I seek.
