Driven till destruction
The facade falls away
All the bits and pieces
Among the wreckage and decay
Driven into extinction
Cut open and displayed
As an industrial work of art
Bare bones and remains
The tires have grown tired
The rubber dried and strained
Plastic all now broken
Scattered like my brains
Upholstery torn and tattered
No two quite the same
Steering wheel in place
Nothing much else changed
Unlike forgotten memories
In the sunshine and the rain
There in all its glory
Painted, pinned, and framed
