Insomnia

Contrary to popular belief,

It's not just the inability to sleep.

Insomnia is that feeling of wanting to cry,

The hungry depression,

The blackness overwhelming your cold heart.

It's all the thoughts you refused to think

When you were fully conscious.

Above all else it's an empty, lonely feeling

That one should avoid at all costs,

If such a thing were possible.
