Poems
Jul 2021
2021 Spring
Blackbirds have found the feeder;
Lookouts scan from upper branches
While takers pillage cracked corn.
I approach to a flurry of black flight;
Guilt needlessly hangs
With the red feeder.
Meals offered to all comers...
Excepting squirrels
For which a weighted door
Flips down to cover the pans.
Four-footed chatterers declare war,
Express intention to circumvent
Discrimination.
