Fake It 'til You Make It
If I were to push you away now
what would you make of it?
Would you notice my absence?
Sleep easy? Speak freely?
Do I matter?
They think my ego is inflated,
when, actually, it's long gone.
I don't even know who I am.
I pretend, like an actor - forever
in character.
