TOO PRECIOUS TO BE LOST
What has occurred to those who follow You?
They're at a complete loss in their hard world.
We look at those who live where the sun sets.
They are enchanted by science and wealth.

We look at where you wanted to be born.
They have got very few, too weak to speak.
Their number can be counted on one hand
and they are leaving their homes and their land.

When l look at your book and how You lived,
I find You loved all men and died for them.
The love You taught us and led to Your cross
is mixed in our heads with puzzled thoughts.

Your love was like a jewel Your hands cut.
You'd made it from the earth and changed to rock.
I fear this matchless jewel will be lost
as it's so rare that nothing can compare.
