Jul 2013
For eternities, it seemed
We sought out the extremities
And so far down the road
It seems a bit narrow up ahead
As if time will click on
Without a sound
And the pound in our hearts
Will sink down
Weightless and floating
We start to think
About how we got this far out to sea
This starts the struggle
We become tired and limp
And the only thing we grasp is the water
Forget the swim
As we grasp for the empty edges that surround
Even touching the ground
Seems silly, as the filth starts to cloud
No matter where you look, which ever way that may be
Blue is all that your eyes will see

Until you realize
That the color means nothing to me
Only cupping water, each stroke at a time
Will lead you back to where you need to be .

Galantly gazing, coasting lazily .
You need not leave a comfort,
but for the fact of your own zone .
