The carnage in my wake
The cascading consequences

I look for catharsis in the trauma

Hoping to make peace
   with the past
Probing for purpose
   in each moment
Seeking out
   soothing music
   for the troubled soul

I try to let go
   of the judgments
And surrender
   to the now
