A flock of birds flew away
In search of blue skies
As it was cold and grey
Under the city sky
Preparing for tomorrow
As they suffer today

Hunting for hope;
For a new home
Away from polluted air
And toxic river foam

As they flew in search
Across the concrete jungle
They encountered the soil parched
Drought had them crumbled
They started to struggle
Without food and water
To move their muscles

On the thirteenth day
Only one outta ten was alive
He flapped his wings again to fly
By the end of the day
He knew he couldn't survive
As he realised
He got no one else to wish him goodbye

The lonely bird died with a smile
As he foresaw his loved ones
Flying in paradise
A flock of birds flew away
from Bombay forever
Never to come back again...
