Blackest of night,
Under the sky
I saw you sitting alone
On the white beach.
As calm waves approached,
With the sound of the ocean
Came along a comforting breeze.

I felt cold sand
Beneath my feet.
Nothing else just the stars
And me witnessing something
That's beautiful, arguably.
Nothing else just you
On the scene
Man, you're special to me.

I saw you mourning alone
On the white beach.
Puffing your cigarettes
Like you didn't want it to end,
As if you were searching for me.

Suddenly, a light from above shined upon you
Illuminating thee.
I called upon you
Again and again,
As loud as I could.
But you couldn't hear me.
I was standing right in front of you
But you couldn't see me.

Lastly, I understood you weren't searching for me
You were searching
For the man, I used to be.
Your eyes were looking out
For the dead part of me. Honey,
You won't find that part of me.
Either live with those memories
Or come back to reality
I had the key
To choose the worthy

I wish I could have stayed with you
For a little longer
In our dark wonderland
But I wanted to feel the colours still around me...
