Where has the time gone?
It's been almost a year
And not a day goes by that I don't say "I wish you were here"
Your absence has left a whole in
Our hearts and on the earth
We knew you were special from the moment of your birth.

I'll never forget the tears that cut through your parents heart and touched the floor
They always wanted you to be so much more.

Rest easy now black bird and sing heavens hymn
Can't wait to see you someday my old friend.
