I remember thinking that I'd finally got it right
Holding hands walking home that sunday night
Crushing burnt reds underneath out feet
The sweet smell of smoke that lingered on your cheek

And I loved you
I loved you so deep
And when you left and went away
I sunk, I was weak
But the love I had for you
Is now gone and faded
Just like the way we were
How we used to be back then.
