In the meadow so green and lush
the wind flays about, no need to rush
as grasses gently sway to and fro
the air not still just a fine gentle blow
Trees in the distance make their sound
I feel simply pleasure for being around
birds and insects all play their part
wonders bestowed from natures heart
This beautiful pasture that earth provides
its raw emotion never subsides
as the day goes on through time
we recollect our thoughts sublime
The sky its vivid hue of blue
soft billowy clouds are part of the view
poppy heads of scarlet red
wave their faces as if hands instead
Tiny white daisies barely seen
are too far down in the foliage green
but there alone with a beauty unique
a dandelion clock, past its floral peak
Then a gust of fresh air blew
up up and away those pretty seeds flew
way into a sky full of dreams
passed by rivers, lakes and streams
Until they settled in the earth bed
to prepare for the new seasons ahead
there it once stood all by itself
a dandelion clock, a sign of good health
