My private feelings
Are now open
You are now free to
Read them
Take this key
To unlock what you are
About to read

I have now learned
To take a piece of thread
And unravel what is left of me
What is left is this piece
Is what may be free

Take the lock
And take that key
Be frightful by every knock
Every piece of this
Is a piece of me

I'll let you read it
Until you see me weep
To see that frown from something lit
Is something you can not keep

Let it all in
Let it all in now
Just take that needle
And pick this pin
And make yourself a vow

Keep this to yourself
Keep it with you please
Don't let me take a plead
But please set it free

You have now taken a peek
In what you may regret
But there may be a leak
With what I have met
Don't let yourself fall
This is all I have kept
But never make yourself a call

This is what it may be
And it may never change
It is what you wanted to see
No need to rearrange
It is all I can be

Vow with this needle
And this thread
Sew yourself together
For what you have up ahead
