Battle
I was only 17 when my battle started.
Thoughts filled with horror,
Long nights of fear.
I tried pill after pill to fix my issue,
Finally, two and half years later, I was free.
The day I tried my ADHD meds,
It was the day I could finally breathe again.
Iā€™m sorry for leaving,
It was finally time to move on.
I will miss the feel of comfort,
But not the misery that came with it.
