I'm putting clues out into the universe
I seem to always find new ones
Lost in the past stuck walking in reverse
I can see only days ago

I'm making sense of something that doesn't
Put it right back onto the pile
Discarded bits of thought by the dozen
Fresh memory from days ago

Something's not right with the way the world looks
Water feels dry air sounds filtered
I wonder what is left for the history books
It was still like that days ago

Look down a while and you'll find stranger things
Nothing can get past true boredom
I let my body walk while I'm pulling the strings
It started running days ago
I'm starting over days ago
