Heartbreak, is the worst kind of pain
It hollows out the soul
So you no longer feel whole
A flood of emptiness
Accompanies the tears
As the feelings of helplessness
Fills the hollow shadows
Bleeding, without blood
As inconspicuous
As a grain of sand
On an empty beach
A dying star
Lingering flickers of light
A distant echo
Of something that once had life
The heart beats forlorn
Alone
And discarded
Into a wasteland
Of despair
I have become
No more
Than an empty shadow
