With my worn fingernails,
I jab the weak ground.
I dig until my hands ache,
Until I’m too far down.

When there is no light,
That my heart can see,
I won’t ask for help,
Just please let me be.

I’m tired of digging,
And I’m tired of crying.
I say that I’m happy,
But I’m tired of lying.

I pray for the day,
My death is in stone,
Because I’m tired of being,
Depressed and alone.
