A HOLY DREAM
Sitting near and knitting woollen clothes,
she completely drew my eyes to her.
I was not interested in her work,
but the smoothness of her charming hands.

She could see my eyes were much involved
and was curious why l was concerned.
I was shy to say my heart was charmed
by her smooth, soft hands that made me dream.

Enchanted by their unearthly hue,
I began to feel celestial love.
I just wanted to give them a kiss
and hold them both on my dormant cheeks.

They will take me up to that pure sphere
which we only find in life above.
As l could not say the truth l felt,
I misled her that l liked her skill.
