WHAT ONCE WAS WILL BE NO MORE
Walking the path has never been easy,
Nor was it supposed to be.
Things are slowly reemerging,
Visions have always been seen.
I’ve taken the time to love myself,
Though is hasn’t been a walk in the park.
To get to this point hasn’t been easy,
But without the light it’s been dark.
Like a butterfly I’m shedding my cocoon,
You can say I’m shedding my skin.
All the struggles that I’ve endured,
I finally realized they came from within.
We are our own worst enemy,
Controlled by are own thoughts and mind.
Breaking through our outer shell,
It’s amazing what one can find.
The time has come,
For me to shed another skin.
The light of my soul is relit,
Time for a new begin.
Those of you that I hold dear,
Be prepared to be impressed.
The cracks are slowly opening,
The light is emerging from my chest.
