Dec 2020
In this age of beauty
We dance digital
An ongoing beat
Forever circling
Never ending.
We sing of genetics
Seek immortality
Like children seeking a future.
We tread paths
Once trodden by fools
With the sweep of a thought.
Brush aside reason..
We surf the net.
We build bigger and better
Displace nature
With castles of rubble
Nests of concrete,
For vulture-men
We devastate
Our souls
Give begging bowls of hope
To those born
Or yet to come.
We swim puddles of greed.
We cut our noses to spite our faces.
We turn green to grey
Roses to dust.
We advertise pebbles as gold.
We are surplus to requirement...
