Looking through dappled eyes,
Seeing sunspots spattered
Across broadened horizons.

Been staring at deserts
In hopes of seeing an oasis,
These eyes have been dying of thirst
And her smile is the only water.

Been grasping at straws
With a waning grip,
These hands have been starving to death
And her body is the only food.

Let my eyes drink it all in,
And let my hands feast,
And let my heart swell
With remembered nourishment.
