It came as season's first rain.
Blazing my dark woods
with an unsung vigor.
Greasing my rusty heart,
shaking all my insides
in a ruthless swoosh.

It lasted as a rainbow.
Painting every lost colour
for a petty few moments,
in my mystified eyes.
And in the next,
it vanished in the thin air
.
