Nov 2020
His battle scars dug deeper still
Along the ridge and up the hill
He’d been up for days on end
He lost his will and lost close friends
He was last man standing
His body numb
He called for help
But there was none
So he sat
Awake and scared
He was lost inside
And unprepared
To walk the walk
To heal and mend
Those grueling days
The bitter end
