This path is overgrown but I walk it with repetitive ease
Gone are the days lost in time revealing somewhere new
When the challenge to overcome the weeds and thorns excited me
Tomorrow forever
It has been a while now since I was here
A place that was the starting point for hope
I had belief in the stars
Destiny was my mistress and she could lead me anywhere
Temptation was the thrill of the unknown
I could not fail
Until
She left
Following the new found youth to betray simplicity for fate
As I dwell on the history of a band of fools
Mirrored in nations
Thinking that there was peace in the goal of achievement
