There's never a dull moment
When the fires of Hell are alight
The children of God peer at us and lament
Ignorant of the drivel of souls in Styx
Pluto oversees with apathy
Breathing draconian air, that is no escape
We are on the cusp of death even when we are alive
Our sadness is sweet
Like Orpheus to Eurydice
Like Patroclus to Achilles
And Hades receives peace from seething fiery torment
No pain receded, yet there is no dull moment
When Cereberus breathes
As the slaves lay and cower at some kingly darkness
Sinister as the unseen force shattering the hearts of Greeks at Troy
Euphrosyne shall no longer dance for joy
That beauty poisoned by viper and ****** to tragedy
The warrior, Ares-like, who seeks salvation
****** to revenge
Orpheus plays his Aeolian harp to soothe his lover
His hair donned by halo
Achilles seeks eternal glory
Unrelenting to dozens who lay at his feet
My bit on Orpheus and Achilles.
