Moonrider

We wrapped the skins of the comet trails

left far behind the sun

and fought the darkly-moistened halls

of yester-kingdoms

wandering in the spices of life

silently wishing for sound

but tomorrows––––––

are forever

and so I left you

in your eternity

with your brightest stars
