A crimson sky

And a whimpering cry

Crows black as night

Above they fly

A mother young senses darkening doom

A sudden yet threatening gloom

The crows whisper in flocks

A heart tick tocks

Tick tock, tick tock, tick …….

A flutter of black wings

Of death they do sing

Her tears now flow

How could they know

Her baby inside no more
