Gasping for breath
As I am drowning
In the fathomless
ocean of memories,
That turn peaceful nights
Into dreadful nightmares
My Knees cry out in pain
Every single night,
as I beseech him, the lord
To consign my memories to oblivion.
Wouldn't my heart find a way
to forget them, the memories?
For they are more alive
And breathing than I am.
