The Venus of Calne

Vanessa stayed at home

Alone,

Broken heart

Of stone,

Bereft

And birth day bare

Nowhere to go,

Nothing to wear,

No dress,

No flowing hair

To comb;

A broken heart

Alone;

Vanessa stayed at home.
